Queer Men’s Fall Camp-Out
A weekend of connection camped out in the coastal foothills of Occidental, CA
Queer Men’s Fall Camp-Out
Friday Oct 16th-Sunday Oct 18th 2026
Join us for a gathering of queer men in nature to cultivate and celebrate authentic queer men’s community!
Come camp out on 1,000 private acres in Occidental, CA with a group of soulful and loving queer men. Deepen into this emerging and growing community with more time for connection, more time on the land, and more time with our personal stories. As weather permits, we will gather outside for much or all of the gathering, though we may retreat to the warmth and coziness of a covered space if needed. Throughout the weekend we’ll weave council (circle sharing), story, mirroring (a reflective listening practice), somatic inquiry (with self + with others), and an extended portion of Saturday solo on the land. You’ll carry with you a simple intention, which we will clarify together on Friday.
We ask that folks arrive around noon, with our opening circle happening at 2:30pm. We will close on Sunday by noon. We will cap our group at 24 participants to foster space for connection. Food will be included in registration costs, and able to accommodate dietary needs as best as possible.
This is a space for intergenerational queer men seeking deeper connection with other queer men and with themselves.
You do not need outdoor experience.
This is a sober and non-sexualized space.
We are calling in a circle of GBTQ men. In other words: people who identify as “queer” and as a “man”—in whatever way those words live in you. We aim to be inclusive. If you’re not sure whether this fits you but you feel drawn, please reach out.

Carpooling to Occidental
If you’re coming from the city or beyond, we encourage carpooling.
If you need a ride, let us know in your registration email—we’ll do our best to help connect folks to coordinate rides.
Reciprocity / Costs
We invite participants to choose a tier based on their personal financial circumstances to offer reciprocity for this event:
Lower Tier (for those for whom cost may be a barrier)- $
Middle Tier - $
Highest Tier- $
As we expand our programming, we hold accessibility and diversity at the center. For all of our programs we offer additional scholarship to the BIPOC community, as well as folks under 40. Please reach out if you wish to register and need additional financial assistance below the lowest tier- if you want to be here, we want to help make it happen.
Cancellation & Refunds: Cancellations requested on or after September 16th will only be eligible for a 50% partial refund if we are able to fill your spot with someone on the waitlist. For cancellations made prior to September 16th, a refund will be enabled minus a $50 registration fee. Thank you for understanding!
Weather
This event, for the most part, will be rain or shine! We have multiple different ways planned to spend our day depending on what the weather brings. Regardless, prepare for the possibility of rains or cooler temperatures. We promise, with the right layering and gear, it always feels so good to brave the elements, and feel a part of the seasons, whatever they may bring.
Accessibility
We will be shuttling people and their belongings from the parking area to the camping area. There will be port-o-potties for toileting. We will be bringing our own water in for the weekend as there is no potable water on the property. There is no prior camping experience required. Comfort walking around the campsite on grasses and gravel is needed. Injured or those with low ability do not need to go far for their solo time on the land. If you have any questions or concerns about your ability to participate in this gathering, please reach out to Sam at sambalka3@gmail.com.
